I am working on improving my photogrammetric models applying manual retopology. This is an example from a model that I captured in 2019: One of the four “Czech Musicians” statues by Anna Chromy’ at Senovážné square, Prague, Czechia.
The process consists of editing the imperfections that the RAW model had (noise, holes, stc.), retopologizing this edited model, and baking the normals and the textures.
The original raw model has 9.3 Millions of faces, vs the 2.6 Thousand of the low poly retopologised version, keeping all the detail through the normal maps.
Photogrammetry model made using Reality Capture. Edits with Zbrush. Retopology with Blender.
